DJ、プロデューサー。98年にVERBAL、LISAとm-floを結成。
ソロとしてもCalvin Harris、The Ting Tings、NEWS、V6、Crystal Kay、加藤ミリヤ、MINMIなど国内外アーティストのプロデュースやRemix制作も行うほか、アニメ「Panty&Stocking with Garterbelt」、ドラマ・映画「信長協奏曲」、ゲーム「ロード オブ ヴァーミリオン III」など様々な分野でサウンドトラックも監修。2010年にリリースした「Incoming... TAKU Remix」は世界最大のダンスミュージック配信サイト“beatport”で、D＆Bチャートにて年間1位を獲得。また同曲で、過去受賞者にはアンダーワールドやファットボーイ･スリム、ジャスティス等、今や誰もが知っているスーパースター達が名を連ねる『beatport MUSIC AWARDS 2011 TOP TRACKS』を獲得し、日本人として初めての快挙を成し遂げ、名実ともに世界に通用する事を証明した。
国内外でのDJ活動でクラブシーンでも絶大なる支持を集め、LOUDの“DJ50/50”ランキング国内の部で3年連続1位を獲得し、日本を牽引する存在としてTOP DJの仲間入りを果たした。2011年に自身が立ち上げた日本初のダンスミュージック専門インターネットラジオ「block.fm」は新たな音楽ムーブメントの起点となっている。2018年3月7日には、15年ぶりにLISAが復帰しリユニオンしたm-floのNEW EP「the tripod e.p.2」をリリース。m-floの最新シングル「MARS DRIVE」「Piece of me」「epic」も好評配信中。

As a solo artist, Taku Takahashi has produced songs and remixes for a number of artists both at home and abroad, including Calvin Harris, The Ting Tings, NEWS, V6, Crystal Kay, Miliyah Kato, and MINMI. He has also overseen sound production for the anime “Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt,” the drama/movie “Nobunaga Concerto,” and the video game “Lord of Vermilion III.” His song “Incoming... (TAKU Remix),” which was released in 2010, took the top spot on the D&B chart of the world’s biggest dance music site, Beatport. The same song was also chosen as one of the Beatport Music Awards 2011 Top Tracks. This honor has previously been given to international stars like Underworld, Fatboy Slim, and Justice. Taku Takahashi was the first Japanese artist to win it, proving his ability on an international level.
He’s also highly popular in the club DJ scene, both in Japan and overseas, and has won the top spot on LOUD’s DJ 50/50 ranking for three consecutive years, making him one of the top DJs in Japan. In 2011, he launched Japan’s first Internet radio station for dance music, giving rise to a new musical movement.
Reuniting for the first time in 15 years, m-flo released a new EP titled “the tripod e.p.2” on March 7, 2018. M-flo’s latest singles “Mars Drive,” “Piece of Me,” and “Epic” have also received critical acclaim.
